A.J.C. WINTER MEETING*.
SYDNEY, June 10.
Newspapers reviewing the Randwick form comment on the success of New Zealand-bred horses, notably Chrysostom's two brilliant performances, though it is considered that Les Paddington's misfortune in losing his rider early in the Steeplechase simplified his task on Monday. Carawock won many friends by finishing so near to Chrysostom after bumping heavily at the fence at the. six furlong poet. Quirino's return to form is attributed to the long spell he has had since last raced. GiggVs two smart wins are regarded as proving that the youngster is both fast and has good • staying powers. Farceur's victory redeemed his popularity, which had somewhat waned owing to Mr; narrow miss on the first day.
