THE VACANT SEAT.
TWO NOMINATIONS RECEIVED.
The nominations to fill the vacancy on the Borough Council caused by the> resignation of Mr James Thompson closed at noon to-day. There were two nominations, and an election will take place next Wednesday. The following have been nominated :
David Fergusson Keir; nominators, Messrs J. McElhinney and A. C. Hardy.
William Henry Robinson; nominators, Messrs W. H. Rundle and R. H. Loy.
