SYDNEY, June 9

In dull, cold weather, after an inauspicious start, New South Wales reversed Saturday's defeat in the presence of 50,000 people. The Englishmen again, within a few minutes from the start, scored, registering eight points before New South Wales broke the ice, but after this the Blues took command and were leading at half-time by 13 points to 8.

The hoine team pressed their advantage in the second half, forcing the game. Play on both sides was very rough and much faster and more spectacular than on Saturday. New South Wales ran away from the visitors at one stage, leading by 33 to 8, and finally won by 33 to 18.

Following are particulars of the careers of the 13 additional men who have been selected as All Blacks: — A. C. C. Robilliard (Canterbury), wing-threequarter, is 20 years of age and plays for the Christehurch Club. He is an Ash-burton boy and his only appearance in big football was when he represented his province last season.

H. W. Brown (Ta-ranaki) is 19 years of age and last year captained the New Plymouth Boys' High School team (Moascar Cup in the junior championship. He leapt from junior rank into the Taranaki representative team and scored 200 points in representative matches, the greatest number J scored by one player in New Zealand. .S venson (Wellington) is . aged ;26. Last year he represented Wellington as wing-threequarter. Previously heUiad been a Wanganui and a Buller/representative, a "North Island representative in 1921, and a South Island representative in 1922. He went to Australia with the 1922 team, but was taken ill on the boat and did not play. C. E. O. Baddeley (Auckland) is 27 years of age. He represented Auckland in 1919-20-21 and played against the Springboks in the first two_ tests, was a North Island representative in 1919-20-21, and in 1920 went to Australia with the All Black team, scoring four tries there. N. P. McGregor (Canterbury) is 22 years of age and, like Brown, is a '"find." He learned his football at the Gore High School and was a Wellington "A" rep. last year. Now he plays for the Christehurch Club at second fiveeighths. \ N. Paewai (Hawke's Bay) is 19 years of age. He represented Hawke's Bay all through their shield matches last year, often playing brilliantly. This "is his first appearance outside provincial football. J. Mill (Hawke's Bay) is 24 years of age and has a long record in big football. At Nelson College he earned a reputation for half-back play, and was next heard of in 1921 when he played against the Springboks in both the combined Hawke's Bay-Poverty Bay team and in the Maori team. He has been to Australia with both Maori teams, and "made". the New Zealand tour following, always as a half-back. He met the All Black team in Wellington as the Maori half-back, and last season went down from Poverty Bay to Hawke's Bav, playing in all the Ilanfurly Shield matches to date. Weight, 11 stone 111 b. W. Dalley (Canterbury) plays for Old Boys in Christehurch, and is 22 years of age. He represented Canterbury in 1922 and 1923 on tour, playing five-eighth, half, and three-quarter. Dalley learned his football at the Boys' High School, Christehurch. H G. Munro (Otago) .is 27 years old and has a Ions; representative record as hooker. He played for Canterbury in 1920-21 and met the Springboks 'He has since represented Otago and was picked for the South Island in For four years he has been a New Zealand University representative, "making" the tour of Australia in 1921 and 1923, and playing in the combined 'Varsities team against New South Wales. He now plays for Otago 'Varsity. ■ .' Q. Donald (Wairarapa) plays for Featherston Club, and is 24 years of age. He captained the Wellington College team when at school, and has been for six years a Wairarapa representative. He played for the -North Island in 1919 and 1923 and for New Zealand in the second test against New South Wales last year. . 11 R. Masters (Canterbury) is 26 years of age, and in 1920 played for the Oriental juniors in Wellington as lock He was a Canterbury representative in 1921-22-23 and a South Island representative only this year. He played against New South Wales m the \ third test in 1923, and has played in the side of the scrum. L Clippies (Bay of Plenty) was first heard of in big football in 1920 when he played against the Springboks tor his province, and was dubbed by them "the best forward in New Zealand. He played for the North Island' in 19*2 and went to New South Wales with the team that lost the "ashes." He also played in the Third Test last year. Cupples is 26 years of age. ' A West (Taranaki) is 30 years of

age and has long represented his province. He was in the North Island team in 1920 and 1921, and went to Australia in 1920, scoring three tries; In 1921 he met the Springboks in the second and third Tests.

In compiling the above weights and ages decimals have been omitted. It will be noted that, the 1905 backs were nearly a stone heavier than the present men, though the forwards average about the same. As a team the 1905 men. averaged 61b. per man heavier.

In the matter of ages it will be seen that the 1924 backs are much younger than their predecessors, while the forwards are a shade older. Oi? an average the present team are two years vounger than the 1905 players.
