GAOL FOR PRINCESS

A ROYALIST SYMPATHISER.

SHELTERED A FUGITIVE.

TWO OTHER ELITE ARRESTS. (Per Press Association,, Copyright). (Received This Day, 8.45 «,sn.) BERLIN, July 25. Princess Maryareta HfcfeenloheOerhingen was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on ©barges of sheltering -Captain Erhardt cafter the Kapp coup in 1920, and with committing perjury by swearing that fie was unknown ~>to her. She received the sentence with great emotion. When sentencing Prm@e6B Hdhenlohe, the Judge pointed that -the trial had proved beyond doubt a close intimacy between the Princess and the escapee Erhardt (ringleader of the Royalists). A political offence such as the leaders of this organisation might commit had not any relation to personal honour, but Erhardt committed a mean trick in perjuring himsdlf and persuading the Princess to do likewise.

A sequel to the imprisonment of Princess Hohenlohe is iSie arrest of Baron Bausch Lohe and his Baroness (who is an Englishwoman), charged with being concerned in effecting the escape of Erhardt. The couple were - completely surprised, but they did not submit without a struggle.

[An earlier message said.:—The greatest precautions are being .taken to ensure that the Princess will not escape. The authorities have reason to believe that powerful friends are exerting their utmost to get her out of prison. Each time she has been taken before the Judge she had been blindfolded to prevent her becoming acquainted with the corridors and outlets of the prison.]
