INCENDIARY FIRES.
ANTI-CATHOLIC CRUSADE. THREAT BY KU KLUX ELAN. (Per Press Association, Copyright.) OTTAWA, January 30. Following the destruction of the Convent of Notre Dame Bon Consel at Lake St. John, which fire was supposedly caused hy anti-Catholic incendiarists, the Mother Superior of St. Jospeh's Catholic Orphanage at Fort William, Ontario, has received a threat to burn the institution signed hy the Eu Klux Klan.
No fewer than thirteen "Roman Catholic institutions in Canada, and a number in the United States, Have recently been destroyed by fire. This is the first occasion upon which an attempt has been made to identify -the Ku Klux Klan with the fires, thowsh the Klan is notoriouslv anti-Catho-lic.
