N.S.W. STATE ORCHESTRA. ! (Per Press Association, Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 3. Strong feelings have been aroused over M. Andre Skalskfs appointment as conductor of the State Orchestra. All musicians are expressing indignation that a local conductor has not been appointed. MYSTERIOUS DISEASE. ADELAIDE, March 3. There is another death from the mysterious disease at Renmark Hospital, making 11 deaths out of 14 patients. (A cable received on February 23 stated that a mysterious disease had been responsible for seven deaths out of ten cases .at the Renmark Hospital. The doctors were puzzled. They had injected serum from a dead body into a sheep for investigation purposes).
OVERWHELMED BY WATERSPOUT.

At Thursday Island a wafer-spout formed at the rear of the lugger, Upton. The boat was overwhelmed, and sunk off Dureef. The crew, consisting of five Japanese and three aboriginals, s,wam five miles to the reef for safety, and were picked up after three days by the Rioazul.
