LADY SCOTT MARRIED. (Par Press Association, Copyright.) (Received March 4, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, March 3. Mr Hilton Yound, M.P., married Lady Scott (the explorer’s widow) in the crypt of the chapel in the House of Commons. Mr Austen Chamberlain gave away the bride. ENGLISH CHIEF JUSTICE RESIGNS. Lord Trevetliin, Chief Justice of England, has resigned. He will be succeeded by Sir Gordon Hewart, the present Attorney-General. [Lord Trevetliin, better known perhaps as Sir A. T. Lawrence, was appointed Lord Chief Justice of England on the retirement of Lord Reading in 1921. He was born in 1843, and was called to the Bar in 4869. He was Recorder of Windsor to 1904, and Judge of the High Court up till 1921. In 1920 lie was president of the War Compensation Court. Sir Gordon Hewart was born in 1870 and was called to the Bar in 1902. He was a. member of the northern circuit and became a bencher of the Inner Temple in 1917. He has represented Leicester as a Liberal since 1913, and has been At-torney-General since 1919. He was Solicitor-General from 1916 to 1919.] INDIA AND TILE DOMINIONS. Mr Srinivasa Sastri, who represented India at the Washington Conference, will leave for India by the Naldera.
