Special thanksgiving services were held at the Chxirch of the Holy Name yesterday morning, the celebrant being Dean O'Donnell. During a lengthy oration the preacher referred to several events in the war, tracing it from its inception, and pointed out that the events in the early stages, when. a small army of Belgians held up millions of Germans, proved conclusively the Providence of God. After paying tribute to the gallantry of the Allies, Dean O'Donnell went on to refer to many lessons that the great struggle had taught. He concluded by paying tribute to the men wlu> - left these shores and the great sacrifices made.
