MANY MINES IDLE
SYDNEY, April 23. The cdalminers at Cossnock struck as a protest against a number of employees coming from influenza-infected towns.
SYDNEY, April 23. Although the miners are using influenza as an excuse to cease work, it is believed their action is due to State intervention in the coal crisis. Most mines in Maitland and Newcastle are idle, and it is expected that the southern miners will follow suit.
