A deputation of fruit retailers interviewed the Attorney-General, requesting that the regulation imposing a maxim urn retail price of . sixpence _on Now Zc:o,larul -apvles should lie withdrawn. It also pointed out that the maximum retail price of onions was fivepenco per lb, but the wholesale nrice was running to sevenpenee. Sir Francis Bell admitted that dealers had a grievance with regard to apples and onions. He would consult the nresidont of the. Board of Trade immediately, and have the matter brought before Cabinet as soon as Dossible. . ■
