A- Gray, has been wounded in the race, and admitted to hospital on October 4 This is the second time he has been wounded, the first wound being received m the Sommp" battle, in September, 1916 Rev. J. R. Burgin., foimerly vicar of St. s Stephen's, Ashburton, has been appointed chaplain to returned soldiers, and oiganiser for the Anglican diocese of Auckland for a period of 12 months. Mr Burgin will visit Ashburton at an early date. \>;:
