ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET.

ASHBURTON YARDS—THIS DAY,.

There was a good attendance at the Ashburton stock yards to-day. The yarding at fat, shoop agregated 273, a« against 509 at tho Timvald yards last week, and included 6S ewos, 188 wethers, and 22 Jambs. Bidding wan chiefly confined to butchers, as the freezing buyers were not operating. Prices wore fairly well maintained 1 throughout. ;>ai-tic.ularly for well-fin-ished pens. Only two small pens of ewes were passed afc aiiction. Mr A. Kaine, Asliburtoii. obtained the highest price for a. \mi of 15 owes, which were sold :vfc 29s 9d. Mr J.
