FLEMINGTON.

A very successful hare-drive was held at Flemington on .Thursday, in aid of the .Red Cross funds, 40 guns taking part and 230 hares being secured. The ladies provided luncheon and tea for a very large gathering in the schoolroom, where a splendid musical programme was provided by Mrs Chapman and party. The proceeds of tho day's effort amounted to £51. The Rev. W. Marshall presided at the concert in tho evening, when Mr Gilmour, on behalf of the ladies, proposed a veiy hearty vote of thanks to all who had helped to make the gathering sxich a success. Tho singing of the National Anthem brought ;i pleasant evening to a close. |
