CHRISTCHURCH, June 2. The winter meeting of the anterbury Park Trotting Club was commenced yesterday in cold and showery weather, i The track was heavy, and tin's affected ; the racing, as many of the horses were ' unable to act in the going. The totalisator investments were £1.3.869, compared with £18,477 10s on the corresponding day last year. The following are details of tho eonciuding events: —
Advance , Handicap.—Antonio 1, Agathos 2, livnr '3. Won by nearly a length; 10 lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 39 2-ssec.
Winter Oats Handicap.—King Capitalist 1, Madam Shaw 2, Great Audobon 3. Won by three lengths; four lengths between second and third. Time, omin 15 3-ssec.
Railway Handicap.—John Dillon 1. Bingana 2, Franzalena 3. The winner beat Tamarisk by half a length, but the latter w;is disqualified for starting before his time. Time, 2min 29 2-osec.
All Rovoir Handicap.—O.l.C. 1, Lord Audloy. 2, Kokomoer 3. Won by half a, length; 10 lengths between ! second and third. Time. : 2iniii 23 2-5 sec.
