CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR UNION.
WELLINGTON, October 19. The Dominion biennial conference of the Christian Endeavour Union, was j held to-day. It was decided to arrange, if possible, for a visit by Dr. Clark, also to recommend that delegates should bo sent to the Canterbury, Westland, and North Otago Unions for the purpose of stimulating the work lof those centres. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: — President, ltev. W. >Shirer; vice-presi-dents, Revs. A. E. Hunt, Richards, White, and ■Pastor Weston; secretary, Mr W.- Irvine; treasurer, Mr H. Brooker; executive, Sister Constance,' Miss Fuller, Messrs Brabin and Duncan. Resolutions were adopted expressing a hope that the Rev. Dr. F. i E. Clark, founder of the union, would be restored to health; also paying a tribute to the noble services of mem- i ; hers' of the Christian Endeavour So-' cieties who enlisted in the fighting forces, and expressing continued | loyalty to the throne and Empire.
