Tho soldiers in the trenches send this message to you all. Saying: "Won't you come and help us to obey tho call Of tho Empire-, grand and glorious, whose freedom is at stake; The freedom for which we're all pre-' pared any sacrifice to make!" It's a long way to Gallipoli, It's a long way to go. It's a long way to Gallipoli, | But you're needed there, you know. Good-bye to New Zealand, Farewell to those who are dear, ■It's a long, long .way to Gallipoli, But you are off right there. Men of New Zealand, can you resist it? Won't hear the cry? I Of those who are bleeding there for you, and with them nobly try To conquer Hun, Bulgarian, Turk, and bring/about tho day, When "Britain's freedom, unmolested, shall come again to stay. It's a long way to Gallipoli, etc.

Men at home! do you know what defeat would mean to us ? 'Twould mean that all we love the! best, would be trampled in the dust. Come on, then, just join the ranks of j those who have gone to fight, For Empire, freedom, health and home, and everything that's right. It's a long way to Gallipoli, etc. Mothers, fathers, wives and sweethearts ,will proudly bid you go, To stand with those who've shown us what New Zealand lads can do. Leave other interests, they's subordinate, to those which call you there. Just don the khaki, stand your training, and go and do your share. It's a long way to Gallipoli, etc.
