HOTEL HOURS.
STRIKE AT COALMINES. (Received October 20, 8.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 20. The Labour Caucus approved of. a - proposal to introduce a Bill tins session providing for the opening of hotels at 8 a.m. and closing at 10 P-m; , BRISBANE, October 20. A mass meeting passed a resolution lireine; the Government to take a refcr--Andum on the subject of the early closing of hotels. The wheelers at the Hepburn and Pelawmain colliers have struck, and are demanding*payment at the new *S-Newcastle rate.
