CLEARING SALE.
The Ashburton Branch or the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operatvc Association conducted a clearing sale at Chertsey yesterday on behalf of Mr A. Copeland. There was a good attendance, and current rates were maintained . Sales were: — - Implements—3-furrow plough £29, 5-loaf harrows £6 ss, dray and frame £17, do. £9, Duncan drill £34 10s, do. £24, disc harrows £13 10s, Cambridge roller £18, Deering binder £32 10s, water race plough £7 10s, gig £13. Horses —Mare (7yrs) £30, mare (4yrs) £40, do. (oyr.s) £37, do. (3yrs) £50, do. £30, gelding £19 10s, gelding (oyrs) £4, mare (syrs) £16 10s, filly (2yrs) £30, filly foal £10, mare £9, gelding (7yrs) £10. harness mar-o £6 10s, colt' (2 : yrs) £10 10s. ' Cattle—Cow (empty) £7, cow (in calf) £4 los, cow (in calf) £6, 2 heifers (18 months) at 575, steers (18 months) 275, 2 calves 21s, bull calf 13s. Sheep—l 97 ewes 11s ;7d, 408•--■half-bred ewes and lambs (all counted) 11s 3d, 36 sound-mouth hoggets lf"s 6d, 79 dry owes 15s 3d, 191 ewes 12s, 37 fat ewes 19s 9d, 12 rams 12s.
