FROZEN MEAT. There is a^ poorer demand for mutton and lamb owing to a large supply of Scotch, which m selling at low prices, sometimes less than frozen Canterbury. There is practically no demand for Danish on account of the high prices, and official quota- \ tions have been suspended this week owing to Germany buying heavily., They are reported to be paying at the rate of about 2305, while the nominal! price hero is 184s to 190s. For Siberian there is a good demand for the finest but now low grade is slow; 136s to 1425. For Irish creamery the market is dull and at a decline; 168s to 1765. United States is in good demand; 158s to 1545; on spot market 150s to 1655, according to quality. CHEESE. the market is firm with an upward tendency. Canadian is in steady demand and the market is stronger; white and coloured 77s to 80s. English Cheddar is firm, with a good demand; 94b to 06s. Cheshire 96s to 100s. For New Zealand on spot the market is j practically cleared; white and coloured) 76s to 78«. United States 72s to 765, j fine 68s to 70s i tf WHEAT. The market remains firm; , October to November shipment, Canadian 525, American 52s 6d. OATS. The market remains firm; Argentine October-November shipment 28s.
