THE MURDER OF MISS CAVELL.
. AMSTERDAM, October 18. Details of the execution of Miss CavoJl show that a German firing party awaited their .victim in a garden in Brussels. Miss Cavell was led in blindfolded and faced the firing party. her strength gave way and she fell to tho ground. . An officer drew his pistol and blew out her brains. The Belgian community describe tho deed as tho bloodiest outrage of the whole war. Miss Cavell and her staff had worked hard tending German "wounded in the Royal Palace after the occupation of Brussels.
A message received on Sunday night said, tho United States Ambassador had informed the Foreign Office that Miss Edith Cavell, lately head of the training school for nurses in Brussels, was arrested in August and executed on October 13. It is understood that she was charged with harbouring fugitive British and French soldiers and Belgians of military age, and assisting them to escape from Belgium to join the colours.
