DROMORE.
Social in Aid of Wounded Soldiers' Fund. On Friday evening last a patriotic social, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, was held in the Dromoro School. There was a large ■ attendance. The sale of flowers and sweets, and guessing, competitions, netted a. very i fair return, and the total proceeds jfrom the evening's entertainment amounted to/£2O os Bd. Credit is due to the ladies who inaugurated the entertainment, more especially to the secretary and treasurer (Misses S. Wilkinson and M. Allen, respectively), who carried put their duties in an efficient manner. During the evening songs were sung by Misses- K. and L. Gibson and Messrs P.'Dwyer and Amess, while the dance music was supplied by Mrs Johns, Miss M. Hampton, and' Messrs R. Hampton, W. Clarke, and B. and G. Bennison. Mr P. Hampton made an efficient M.C. Dancing was indulged in till the early hours of the morning. Supper, kindly provided by the ladies, was partaken of, and the singing of " Tipperary" and " Auld Lang Syne" brought an enjoyable evening to a close.
