MACHINE GUNS.
THE WELLINGTON FUND. WELLINGTON, August 12. The Mayor has already received £50 from Briscoo and Co. and £100 from Mr J. J. Boyd (with a further £50 if the gun 'is brought back to New Zealand) for the Machine Gun Fund. Tonight he received from Mr-vJ. P. Firth, Principal of Wellington College, £100 on behalf of the College "for the purchase of a machine-gun for our men at Gallipoli."
