THE DEATH AT DANNEVIRKE.
MINISTER'S INFORMATION INCORRECT.
DANNEVIRKE, August 12. With reference to the death of Private Robinson • in the Danncvirke Hospital, after the Minister of Defence made the statement to the' deputation a.t Wellington that "the Dannevirke case was certainly not cerebro-spinal meningitis," Dr McAllan Medical Superintendent of the hospital wired to Mr Allen asking for his authority for making the statement, and received the following reply: "Sorry to say I was under a misapprehension about the SannVvirke case. It had beei, reported to me that it-was not one of cerebrojjpinal meningitis."
