PIGEON FLYING CLUB FORMED.
A meeting of those interested in the formation of a pigeon flying club was held in tho Arcade last evening, Mr G. Bundy presiding. It was decided, on the motion of Mossrs W. H. Robinson and K. Muir, that a Pigeon Flying Club be formed in Ashburton, and a committee consisting of Messrs S. Tyrrell-Baxter, K. Muir, F. Mowat, K. Dorm, L. Templeton, W. Knight, A. Knight, A. Brown, G. F. White, A. Saunders, W. Anderson, and S. Klliott, was set up to work up interest in the proposal. Mr H. A. Mn/.ey was appointed secretary.
The subscription fee was fixed at 2s 6d per annum. Mr S. Tyrrell-Baxter was appointed chairman and it was resolved to obtain rules '-from other clubs to assist in drawing up tho new club's rules.
