The Court held that the daily inspection required by Rule 8 of the ■special rules made under the Co«I Mines Act, 1908, was an examination of the actual working parts of tho mine, including all ventilating appliances, wherever situated, but did not extend to the old workings, which did not form nart of the ventilating system.
