. . AUCKLAND, July 27. Tlie U.S. and A. Line's steamer Canastola arrived from New York, via Panama, this morning.
While at New York, at the end of April, a bad firo occurred in the 'tween decks and two forward holds, all the cargo.there being destroyed.' The holds had to, bo completely flooded. : .
The : _ caygo destroyed Avas,- . for Australian and New Zealand ports, and included six ,■ motor-cars. ■ The iron docks wore buckled by the heat, and the beams were twisted, and had to bo renewed.
