A communique says: — General yon Lisingen occupied Btalicz, and crossed the Dniester.
After five days' heavy fighting, we approached the Bug sector north of Lemberg.
[The Bug is the name of two Russian rivers. The Western Bug risea in Austrian Galicia, and, after a course of 470 miles, it joins the Vistula near Warsaw. The Eastern Bug. rises in Podolia, and flows 520 miles south-east into the Dnieper's estuary.) , ■
