Aitor the rain of the past we-ek or so, a pleasant change occurred in the weather to-day, when beautiful conditions prevailed. . The ground Avof. covered with a white frost early 'this morning, but the warm rays of the sun soon dispelled it. Five degrees of. frost was registered.
A thick mist blew, up from the sea about o'clock, and ■the whole, town was enveloped in its clammy folds. The rays of the sun were obscured. and. the conditions out of doors became '■vnw and cold. ;
Mr Bates's forecast to-day : was as. follows:—Freshening westerly winds. Expect dull weather, misty and foggy. Rain-.probable.-' Glass fall. ■• -. ■;" .
