GERMANS GETTING SHORT
(Received June 1, 9.40 a.m.) PETROGRAD, May 31. Official.—During the fighting between G-allitze and Dunjatz, the enemy used 1600 guns before the assault, discharging 700,000 j projectiles, for four hours, which it 'is estimated would require 1000 waggons to carry them. On another position one of our commands received 10,000 bombs. The Germans exhausted their supply at Cracow a.nd other fortresses, and the infantry are now obviously lacking in the supply for artillery.
