DUNEDIN, January 2. The New Zoaland Lawn Tennis Championships were continued her© in good weather, and before a large attendance of the public. The heat was not so great as on the previous days, and there was a fair breeze blowing from the north-wast, but not suf£ ciently strong la interfere with play. One final was played, that for the Ladies' Doubles • Championship, the holders Misses Gray (Auckland) and Baird (Hawke's Bay), defeating Misses Brewster (Taranaki) and Campbell (Otago) after a long, close contest. Imals have l)een reached in all the .other matches, and in the singles Olhvier will meet Jennings, who this morning' defeated the present holder,A. (x. Wallace, of Taranaki. Ollivier i is out of the combined championship, but the present holders are still in all the other events. Following are results:— ' MEN'S SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Third Round.
Olhvier (Canterbury) beat Pearse (Canterbury), 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. Semi-final.
Jennings (Otago) beat Wallace (Taranaki), 6-3, 6-3, 7-5. Ollivier beat Goss (Canterbury), 6-2, 6-3, 6-4.
MEN'S DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP
. Semi-final. Wallace and Dickie (Taranaki) beat Nicholson (Taranaki) and Jennings (Otago), 6-4, 0-6, 8-6, 6-4. LADIES' SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Semi-final. Miss Baird (Hawke's Bay) beat Miss Campbell (Otago), 1-6, 6-2, 6-1. Miss Gray (Auckland) beat Miss Brewster (Taranaki), 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. LADIES' DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Final. Misses Gray and Baird beat Misses Campbell and Brewster, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. COMBINED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Semi-final. Goss and Miss Baird beat Borrows and Miss Gray, 6-3, 6-3. Jennings and Miss Brewster beat Pearse and Miss Campbell. 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
