BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET.

DUNEDIN, May 6. At Burnside to-day 190 fat cattle were yarded, principally of good quality. There was fair competition, and prices all through were about last week's level. Best bullocks made £11 to £12 10s (extra to £14), medium to good £9 15s to £10:15s, light £7 10s to £8 15s; best cows and heifers £8 10s to £9 10s (extra to £10 7s 6d), medium to good £6 to £7 15s, light £4 10s to £5 15s.

Fat Sheep.—There was a medium yarding of fat sheep, 2460 being penned. There were very few pens of prime wethers forward. Operations of freezing buyers tended to keep .up prices of medium-weight wethers and ewes to last week's rates, while prime quality showed an advance of about Is per head. Best wethers made 23s 6d to 24s 6d (extra heavy to 325), medium to good 21s to 22s 6d, light 18s 6d to 20s; best ewes 19s 6d to 21s (extra good to 245), medium to good 16s 6d to 18s, light 13s 6d to 15s 6d. Fat Lambs.—There was a large yardinw of fat lambs, 1934 being penned! The majority were of good to prime quality, and prices all round were firm at last weeks rates. Best made 18s 6d to 19s 6d (extra good to 235), good 16s 6d to 1/s 9d, light 13s 6d to. 15s. o~ *4. ■ Fat Pens.—-About 80 fat pigs and 54 stores were yarded.
