MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR

An unidentified steamer afire is reported 300 miles south of Cape Race by the steamer Seydlitz, which was unable to identify the vessel owing to thick smoke. . , The Seydlitz called other liners by wireless, the : Sachem, Branderbur,g, Olympia, and Franconia responding. No trace of the ship's boats was found, and the fate, of the crew is a mystery. ' ■ ''
