i Tho Perthshire, when 6JO miles south !of Durban, sent a wireless stating ! that she was returning, as her machinery is defective.
1 The Perthshire is a steel .screw steamer of 5550 tons net register. She is classed 100 Al at Lloyd's'and was built in' 1893. This is the'second occasion upon.which misfortune.has befallen the -vessel. ■■,■.'■ It will' be remembered {that- a few years ago she broke down in the Indian Ocean, and drifted, helplessly for several weeks, being eventually. picked up and towed to pprt,
