■ A London cable to-day reports that Lord Rosebery passed a good night and lis progressing favourably. . A Hobart cable announces that Dean Stephen, of Melbourne,-has been elect-, ed Bishop of Tasmania, in succession to Bishop Mercer, who resigned. A Napier Press Association message reports the death of Mr R. ,A. Wilson, manager of Ross .and Glendinning's establishment. Deceased was one of the survivors of the wreck of the Strathmore, lost at the Crozets in 1876.
