In the motor Customs frauds case the prosecution withdrew Shorland from the witness box for the present, Shorland .stating that it would take several month.? to investigate and answer the complicated questions accurately.

It has been arranged that future witnesses will be supplied with written questions and asked to reply in writing-

Owens' and Furmedge, Melbourne Customs officers, gave evidence regarding the documents discovered in Australia.

The case was adjourned till December.
