A CALL NOT HEARD
1 , TIMARU, November 26. The Cliristchurch drivers having keen called out, an effort was made yesterday to call out the Timaru •drivers, but .it failed by reason of the fact "that the secretary of the Tnriaru Drivers' Union was not in Timaru to receive the .message from Christchurch, Wing away on the s.s. Storm replacing one of the strikers on that boat. It - is" very doubtful, however, even if the secretary had been in Timaru, whether lie would have called the men out, or whether they would have responded to such a call. They have no grievance,, and in the circumstances it is considered ■quite unlikely that they would cease vrork. >
