HEAVY LOSSES ON BOTH SIDES

Reports of the rearguard actions at Serai and Cliorlu state that there were more severe losses on both sides than at Lule Burgas:
For hours the verdict hung in the balance, fortunes continually wavering. The position of the Bulgarians for a time was hazardous. ,
The Turks murdered Colonel yon Weit, a German, during the retreat from Kirk Kilisse.
