PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

QUESTION OF UNION.

Per Press Association. CHRXStCHURCH, January 12. The Primitive Methodist Conference met here yesterday. Rev. G. K. Smith WBi.s elected president, and Rev. J. Featherston secretary. To-day the Conference considered the report of the committee appointed to consider ..the question of the union of the Primitive Methodist and New Zealand Methodist Churches. The report covered the basis of the union adopted by the Conference in June last year. The speeches generally were favourable, but Mr T. Moor said the Church in Auckland was opposed to union. The discussion is proceeding.
