SHORTAGE OF WATER.
SYDNEY, December 22. The water shortage continues. .In some of the suburbs, without warning, the people were left waterless for hours. There is a great outcry against the Water Board, which has stopped tho supplies for garden and street watering, and has issued an urgent appeal to householders to use the water sparingly. It is hoped that the depleted reservoirs will be refilled early next week.
