Professor Von Wassermann, a distinguished bacteriologist, in^ jbhe course of a paper read before' ■'■'the Medical Society, stated that he had made experiments with mice affected. with carcinoma and sarcoma, two forms of cancer. An injection of losin and selenium softened the tumours m three days, and the last remnant had been completely absorbed a week later. Professor Von Wassermann issues a warning against the assumption that the cure is necessarily applicable to huniaa beings, on whom experiments have not yet been tried.
