ARBITRATION TREATY.
AMERICAN SENATE'S OBJECTIONS.
Per Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON, August 10. A serious hitch in regard to the Anglo-American arbitration treaty has arisen. In the Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee strong objection was taken to the submission of questions of difference to a joint commission of inquiry. There also was objection to Britain's proposal to consult the overseas dominions in all matters affecting them. Senator Clarke moved that the whole question should be postponed till December. .''■■■
Other senators objecting, Senator Clarke's motion was withdrawn. The President to actively intervene. / s
