NEW SCHOOL AT PALMERS lON NORTH.
PALMERSTON N., September 29. The Technical School was opened 1 y the Hon. G-.-Fowlds, Minister of Education, m the presence of a Luge gathering of ;the public. The building has been provided by subscriptioas of residents and Government 'subsidies. It is the finest technical school building m the dominion. The classes were recently scattered all over the town. They now number about six hum] red pupils. Mr Fowlds paid a trioata tc the High School Cadets, who iormod a guard of honour. He said that technical schools were giving so much secondary education that high schools and technical schools should be more closoly allied to avoid overlapping of staffing and equipment
