MINIATURE RIFLE RANGES.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, September 29. The Education Board received requests to-day for assistance towards the cost of constructing miniature rifle ranges. Colonel Hawkins was reported to be favourable to the use of the King Edward barracks ranges for city schools, but recommended that suburban and country schools should have i ranges of their own. It was agreed to send the Richmond and St. Albans applications to the Department of | Education, and to remind Sydenhani and Waltham that the Department's assistance was by way of a £ for £ subsidy.
