DIFFICULTIES IN ENGAGING A CREW.

WELLINGTON, June 17. Trouble has arisen over engaging a crew at Wellington for the steamer Indravelli, which arrived from Vancouver, via Auckland, last Tuesday. During the time she was chartered by the Alley lino her seamen were paid £7 per month. The crew, which is from Vancouver, signed off yesterday, and the captain offered £4 10s per month to a number of men to join the ship for a trip to Manilla. None, however, ■ would- sign on unless promised £7 per month to Manilla, and until their return' to New Zealand. f Tho captain is again negotiating' to-day with some of the unemployed to join his vessel.
