ARCADE HORSE FAIR.

Messrs H. Matson and Co. conducted a horse fair m the Arcade this afternoon. There was not a large attendance, and a total entry of 65 mixed classes of horses was offered. Owing to the greater part of farm work being well advanced, there was only limited enquiry for horses, and consequently the majority of the horses offered were passed out unsold. The following are sales: Draughts—Black gelding, 4yrs, £23; bay gelaing, aged, £18 10s; bay mare, aged, £13 10s; bay gelding, aged, £10 10s; bay mare, aged, £10 10s; bay mare, '4yrs,£29; bay filly,' 3yrs, £20. Hacks —Chestnut gelding, aged, £4 12s Qd; bay mare, aged, £8; bay mare, 4yrs., £8 10s; bay gelding, aged, £5; bay gelding, 6yrs, £12; chestnut gelding, 4yrs, £26; 10s.
