Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 17, A conference is being arranged for the Thursday of next week between the executive officers of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association and Mr .Richard Coombes, Australasian representative on the international board thajb epntrols the Olympic games. It is iiesjired to obtain special representation for New Zealand on the board. Another matter that will be discussed by the Association representatives next Thursday will" be t|ie proposed New Zealand representative 'team for the Australasian championship meeting at Brisbane. The Council is experiencing financial trouble through the extraordinary delay on the part of the defunct Council, which once existed at Christ.church, m handing over to the official body the funds which it was ordered to dispose of m $hjs ; manner. The present Council has arranged that no delay, vexatious or otherwise, .wijll be allowed $p jnferfere with the 'sending of a; team, hat the delay of the Christchurch people-in obeying the instruction they received is being criticised unsparingly.
