METHVEN STOCK SALE.
The ordinary fortnightly sfcofek fekle was held at Methven on Thursday, but the yw&ttg Wfts not so large as the pfcviops sale day-. Prices, hoVever, showed an till-round improvement. lnere was a keen demand for 'good «oußdi»outhod breeding ewes. A larger entry than usual of fat lambs came forward, and every line entered changed nands. The following are some of the P", ce3 obtained: Fat lambs 13s 9d, 12s 10d, 12s 3d; store lambs, 10s 9dwethers, 8s 6d; fat ewes, 10s: fat wethers( for C. Spray, Methven), 14s; ewes (for Crawford Bros., Methven), os 3d 13s lOd; fat ewes 9s 2d, fat ewes &°J" yames Johnston, Springburn) 7s } ', so ewes (for Geo- Stockdill, Highbank) 8s 6d. Cattle : 1 cow in fiill profit made £6, 1 qow (springing) £6. Pigs : 6 weaners 9s to 18s. A host of sundries was also offered, j and realised full market rates. .
