ASSAULTING A CRITIC.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHUROH, June 11. Last Monday the Rickards Vaudeville Company now appearing at the Theatre Royal, was severely criticised m the Lyttelton Times for coarseness, vulgarity, and suggestiveness m Ted Kalman'Y "turn." To-day, Kalman lay m wait for the critic, and assaulted him at the door of the Times office. The criticism had the effect of causing Kalman to be more cleanly on the stage, and he resented this. The critic was not severely injured.
