The ordinary meeting of the Ashburton W.C.T.U. was held m Baring Square schoolroom on Tuesday afternoon, when there was a good attendance, with Mrs W. T. Lill presiding. It was decided that a copy of the memoir of the late Mrs G. Bowman, published m the White Ribbon, 6hould be inserted m the minutes. The mdnibeis of £ho Union, who had charge of the tables at the No-license tea on Empire Day, handed m their reports.
