MOUNT SOMERS ROAD BOARD.

The Mount Somers Road Board met on Thursday, June 3. Present—Messrs Jli. Gates-(in the chair), J.. Matheson, and H. H. Sharplin. Mr Gates was re-elected chairman, and expressed thanks to members for their continued confidence. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Cullen and Lambie, and leave was granted. A grant of £1 was voted as an aid to Mr Thos. Brown from clearing a drain that, on account of insufficient capacity, allowed flood water to overflow and scour the main road, the clearing to be m accordance with the Board's specifications.
